Is incredible. From day one when we brought Gavin home from the hospital he has been the best father I know & he never seizes to amaze me. Taking care of a newborn is no simple task. I am so fortunate to have a husband that gets up with me in the middle of the night. He feeds Grant & changes his diapers while I pump! Every.Single.Night. Never complaining once! Dave enjoys the time he gets to snuggle with Grant and feed him. It’s their special bonding time & I adore it too! I love listening to Dave talk to Grant and have a conversation with him. I love watching them nuzzle their bodies so close together! It’s bliss.
Grant is two weeks old today! He continues to be a wonderful baby. Only crying when he is hungry or needs a diaper change & he only wakes us up once in the middle of the night, which is awesome! He is very content and he continues to remind us so much of Gavin when he was a baby. Gavin is in LOVE with him. He wants to have everything to do with Grant! I am so thankful for their relationship already and I can’t wait to see how it grows!
Since we’ve been home with Grant, Gavin has shown definite signs of jealousy. Not towards Grant though, thank goodness, but towards Dave and I. There has been a few times where we know he is taking it out of us & acting out, which we expected. We are just thankful that he is taking it out on us and not Grant. I am hoping that we are on the mend of it though now that Grant is a few weeks old and things are starting to become ‘normal’ for our family!
