Packer Game

Summer is coming to an end and our oldest of starting Kindergarten in 4 days! Dave and I decided to celebrate the end of Summer with Gavin and take him to his first Green Bay Packers Game! We had 4 tickets so we told Gavin he could pick a friend to take, and he decided he wanted to take his cousin Nolan!
I had the vision in my head for weeks of what it would be like; Excitement, cheering, food, and fun!! Much to my dismay within 5 minutes of sitting down Gavin was complaining and wanting to leave! UGH....seriously. My vision of his first fun filled NFL game was not what it turned out to be! And for that I was sad. However, I  have to realize that he is 5 yrs old and It was still in the 90's with extremely tight quarters. All in all, it was fun and the boys enjoyed each others company, it's all about making memories!
After I did some begging and pleading with Gavin to put his jersey back on; we finally got some pictures. At least he looks like he enjoyed the game ;)
We headed to Nana & Grandpa's to pick Grant up and within 5 minutes all three boys were sleeping!

Proud Parents!

This is what we've been doing ALL DAY today!
He tried to ride his bike without training wheels this past spring and got so frustrated and discouraged that he didn't want to try again! It has been a long summer of us asking him if he wants to try again and him saying "I can't do it!"  - Words you never want to hear your children say!
So last night Dave took off his training wheels and I immediately threw them in the trash! We tried it and he got it on his first try!
Tears rolled down my face as I saw his big smile and how proud he was of himself!
Proud Parents here for sure.
Tomorrow we head to school. It's Kindergarten Registration Day and Picture Day...I'm sure it will be tough.

What we've done this past week. so far!

Friday was an extremely busy day for us! We had an ice cream social party that morning! Yes, Ice cream in the morning!
Then it was Gavin's last day of soccer camp with BBQ and all!
After that we had a birthday party for Beckam!
We spent Saturday afternoon at my aunt and uncles pool!
Sunday afternoon Dave and I went golfing with Dad VV and Chris!
Gavin had his last tball game on Monday night! Nana, Grandpa AND Grammy & Papa all came to watch!
Yesterday we headed to Devil's Lake for the morning. We also crossed the Merrimac Ferry - My parents have never been!
We are borrowing Mom and Dad VV's Blow Up Slide this week and the boys & thier friends have been having a blast with it!
Tonight is Gavin's first soccer practice for the season, Games start next week!
Wednesday nights are also 'Marriage Matters' for Dave and I. This is our 4th week doing it through our church and it's AMAZING! Don't get me wrong, we have a great marriage, but it's not perfect and there are always things each of us can work on and get an insight to what the other is thinking! Before we got married we never took any kind of marriage class, so when our church announced that they were doing this we were excited to do it! We've learned a lot and are truly loving it!
