Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

 

Gavin's 6th Birthday

Gavin turned 6 years old on Monday December 10th! We had an amazing weekend of celebrating him! Friday evening we had his 'friends from school' birthday party, sleepover style! They decorated Pillowcases, played video games, watched a movie and basically did everything that 6 year old boys do!

It went well, no parents had to be called and they were sleeping by 10pm, which equals success in our book.

Saturday evening we celebrated with family, pizza and cake!

 

Monday, which was his actual birthday, we went out to dinner at the Nitty Gritty and to Campus Candy for dessert!

He really enjoyed his birthday and got some amazing gifts from his friends and family!

November

Holy Cow, Christmas is right around the corner! I feel like the month of November came and went in a blink of an eye, without one single blog post!! I guess I have a lot to catch up on? We've been pretty busy this month. Dave's worked a lot this month, finished up a HUGE house and did a lot of side jobs... He's Superman. 

Gavin started to take the bus home from school this month, I was a nervous wreck and of course I followed the bus home the first day. yes, I know, I'm a stalker mom! He's beed doing great and loves it, He even reprimanded me for waiting at the bus stop for him, because no other parents do :(

 He's just getting WAY too big!! He will be celebrating his 6th Birthday in a few weeks with a 12 boy sleepover. We're nuts.

Grant is just as cute as ever, being Grant. He has the sweetest, funniest personality. And he for sure keeps us on our toes!!

 He's getting his Canine teeth in, or at least I finally hope he is. I've been saying he is getting them for probably 6 months now. But, we can finally see that they are starting to pop through and he's been extra cuddly and has had some unfriendly diapers.

 I celebrated my 26th Birthday this month!! I had an amazing birthday dinner with some amazing friends!

I attended a Pentatonix Concert with some amazing friends - A highlight of my month for sure!!

 We celebrated Thanksgiving with my family this year. It was wonderful and intimate.

 Of course we do our Black Friday (this year Thursday/Friday) Shopping. Started at 7pm Thursday evening and went until 6:30am Friday morning! We were exhausted to say the least and spent most of Friday relaxing!

This picture below was right after he was caught him with Nana's tooth brush... in the toilet...scrubbing it! I'm telling you, he keeps up on our toes! But he really is the sweetest thing :)

Today ended the Deer Hunting gun season and my Love got a Deer!! I'm looking forward to some jerky!! 

 Lastly we are getting ready for Christmas around here! Looking forward to this Holiday Season!

Las Vegas

 

We arrived in Las Vegas Wednesday evening.

Thursday was spent checking out the Casino near our resort and getting tipsy by 11am. The free drinks were flowing! This was the first time I had ever been in a casino, let alone gambled! Pretty interesting to say the least! 

Thursday evening we headed to the strop to check it out for the first time!

I could watch the fountains at the Bellagio all night long! Loved it.

I was in awe of how CLEAN this City was. I was expecting it to be dirty and not well kept.

Our amazing friends we went on Vaca with!

Friday we spent the day checking things out, shopping, etc...

Friday evening we headed down to Fremont Street! A definate site to see!

Saturday evening the girls did a wine tour around Las Vegas! This was for sure a highlight of my trip :)

 Wine Fountain - GENIUS!

Sunday evening we did a Family Style Dinner at Maggianos on the Strip!

After Dinner we all went to see Beathles Love!!! Another highlight of the trip for me! I was in awe the entire time! Loveloveloved it!

Dave and I both agreed that we would probably never go back and feel content that we saw and did everything we wanted to - But you never know!!

 I do think everyone should go at least once!

 Overall it was a great getaway with our friends!

Halloween 2012

Dave and I got home from Las Vegas on Tuesday! It was a great getaway with friends and much needed time away for Dave and myself! I'll do a seperate post on that later but for now I wanted to share our Halloween with you.

Halloween Morning we got Gavin ready and in his Costume for school! They had a Halloween Parade at 8:30 that morning and then their Halloween Party was in the afternoon!

There were some great costumes!!

Grant LOVED it!

Grant was able to wear the Giraffe costume that Gavin wore for his first Halloween! It fit Grant perfect and saved us $30+ dollars on a costume...score! Plus he rocked it!

Gavin was Spiderman this year and loved it! He instantly gets in character once he puts the costume on!

Daddy & the boys headed out to get their loot!

The boys were out for almost 2 hours!! Gavin had Halloween Homework when he got home;

Gavin had 123 pieces of candy and Grant had 133. Not sure how that happened? Dave said Grant was precious though, said 'trick or treat' in his own cute way and 'thank you' after each piece. I just want to bottle up his voice at this age and save it FOREVER!! Melts my heart.

While Dave and I were in Vegas my My amazing Sister and BIL watched the boys from Wed-Sunday Morning. They did lots of Halloween festivities that weekend including carving pumpkins!

Ya'll check out my mum!!! I'm in LOVE with it!
