Ash's Bachelorette Party!

My sister will be getting married in 1 MONTH! Hard to believe we are just weeks before their big day! This past weekend we celebrated my sister with her Bachelorette Party! We headed to Pineland Park Campground, where else?! We did a bachelorette Scavenger Hunt, ate lots of food and rented the Lady of the Lakes Boat on the chain-o-lakes!! We had such a great time on the boat. It was filled with wonderful people, amazing food, jell-o/pudding shots, booze, booze & more booze!! We conversed with other boaters and Ashley even sold suck-for-a-buck suckers!! Here are a few pictures of the Bachelorette weekend. This past weekend was also the Bachelor Party so while Dave & I were gone the boys were getting loved on by their grandparents! Gavin stayed with my dad in Neenah. They went to DQ, who knows how many times, went swimming at my aunt & uncles and built lots of stuff, or so Gavin says! Grant was with Grammy & Papa from Thursday-Sunday! A 5 month old has quite the baggage! This is not even all of the stuff that went to Grammy & Papas house!They took Grant on a day trip around Madison and took the cutest pictures ever! 5 Months Old

I’m a little late on updating! On Monday Grant was 5 months old! Only 5 months and he already needs his 3rd haircut! Monday evening we gave Grant corn on the cob! He loved the texture and loved playing with it! He sucked on it & seemed to enjoy it too, & no there wasn’t butter or salt on it!
We had a much needed relaxing weekend. Friday afternoon Gavin, Grant & I went to Olive Garden with Grammy, Kristin & the kids! Saturday morning was spent doing a whole lot of NOTHING! We headed to Sweet Corn fest in the afternoon and got 34 ears of corn for $6, yummy!! Saturday evening we headed over to Kristin & Chris’s for dinner and a fire. Sunday evening we went back to sweet corn fest to watch the races with friends & family! What a great weekend we had.

The Weekend Recap

This past weekend we headed up to Matt & Ashley’s cottage in Coleman, WI! We got there late Friday evening and it was raining so we just hung out & played cards. Saturday we boated, fished, went on a nice walk around the lake, took turns giving Gavin numerous rides on the golf cart, went to get ice cream & of course watched the Packer game!! This coming weekend we are FINALLY staying in Madison and I couldn’t be happier! We have lots planned for the weekend already. Sweet Corn Fest, dinners, & we are finally able go to church this weekend! Did I mention I want fall to come SO bad!
Here are pictures of our weekend; On the way home on Sunday we stopped in Green Bay at Lambeau Field to show Gavin where the Packers play! He had never been there before and thought it was pretty cool!

Davis Cup

My last post was filled with wonderful pictures and I’m sad to say that those were the last pictures I will be taking with my camera. When we were visiting the Dunes in Indiana a few weekends ago our camera must have gotten sand in it. I can’t take any pictures, the focus is broken, as well as the zoom. I took it to The Camera Company, where we bought it, to see if they could fix it, and if not, how much it would cost for us to send in to get it fixed. They couldn’t fix it in store & quoted us $150 for the camera to be sent in to get fixed. Heavens, I could buy a new camera for that price! Unfortunately a camera, that we would love, is not in our budget anytime soon, so pictures will be minimal as they will be mostly taken from my phone! However, I am borrowing my parent’s camera for the time being, so at least I have that! I'm hoping we can save up for a beauty like this;
Anyways, our weekend can be summed up in two words; Family Time! This past weekend we ventured to Neenah for the 25 Anniversary for the Davis Cup Golf Outing! It was so nice to catch up with family we haven’t seen in awhile! My aunt & uncle from Arizona came home and I haven’t seen then since our wedding in 2008! We’re getting spoiled with them because they will be back at the end of September for my sister’s wedding too! It was also great catching up with some cousins of mine that I haven’t seen in over 15 years! But most importantly, we raised $4000 for Team Hailey!! 4 month stats & Indiana

Grant had his 4 month check up last week! Here is the stats;
Weight - 13.8lbs. (19%), Head - 42.9 (65%), Height - 25" (51%)
Unfortunately he is sick right now. Runny nose and very congested. I pray that the drainage doesn't make him get an ear infection!! It's been a rough few nights. Here is a picture of him after he got his shots; Solids are going good. He DOES NOT like green beans though. I'm still sticking with it though and I've been mixing it in with his cereal and he will eat it that way! On Sunday we got back from a great weekend getaway to Indiana to visit Grandma & Grandpa Vander Velde.
Friday we had a wonderful time in Amish Country. We went to Shipshewana. We took a buggy ride and visited local stores and restaurants! I love it there, such unique things to do and see. 2008 & 2011 Manure pictures :)Saturday afternoon we headed to a great beach in Culver, IN.
