A great Thursday evening!

We had a great night tonight! After dinner David and Gavin went outside and played baseball until Gavin's bedtime. This is exactly the kind of stuff David has been waiting to do with Gavin ever since he has been born and now they can do it much more freely! They had so much fun! Needless to say...we are LOVING our new home more and more each day!

Rainy Day

It is a rainy day today and I love it! This means we don't have to water the grass or the garden tonight! That's right...David and I put our garden in last Saturday! We planted Tomatoes (Better Boy and Beef Steak), Cherry tomatoes, Banana peppers, cucumbers, spaghetti squash, watermelon and cantaloupe. Hopefully we will have success in everything we planted this year, but you never know. This is the first time we will have a garden and you learn as you go through trial and error so we are crossing our fingers that we have success! The grass is slowly starting to come up, which is a huge shocker to me! I hopestly didn't even think we would have to mow our lawn this year, looks like I am way wrong!
Yesterday at work David made me some shelves for the pantry (a.k.a - coat closet). Right next to the kitchen there was this akward coat closet that we turned into a pantry. It definitely works out better for us as a pantry rather then a coat closet!

New House

We did it! We are all moved into our new home, it is perfect for us and we absolutely adore it!
Wednesday was the start of our move. David and Mike moved a ton into the Garage of the house. Thursday my mom and dad came to help move along with Dad VV, and Mike. We got everything into the garage of the new house. We had to be fully moved out of the condo by Thursday night. Friday morning came (the day we thought would never come) and David and I went to close on the condo and then the new house!! It was very exciting and emotional at the same time!
After that we started to move things into the house!! We got almost everything that was in the garage moved into the house in about 4 hours! Mom and Dad VV, and Mom and Dad Hack helped us out SO MUCH! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! After most of the moving was done, my mom and dad took Gavid for the weekend to the cabin! We missed him so much but we got so much done while he was gone, and he had a blast!
Sunday we had Jen and Mark's wedding in Chicago! It was very nice! Great to see family, chit chat and relax!
Today (Memorial Day) Matt and Ashley brought Gavin back to Madison and too see the house! We had our first real dinner tonight, it was delicious!
Here are a few pictures of the new house! We are pretty much unpacked with everything! No paint yet and nothing on the walls, but in time we will get those things done. We also have nothing for the living room yet. Right now it is collecting all the home decor for the house! We have no idea when we will get furniture for that room either. We know what we want but we just haven't found it yet!

(Here are a few pictures of our new backyard. No grass yet :( )
We have not heard any news on the biopsy yet. I am assuming we will hear by the end of the day today!

House Update - They got the driveway and stoop poured on Tuesday! It looks very nice. The front door is even in and it looks great! We are having the final walk through this Monday. We are hoping to start moving stuff over to the house sooner then the closing date on Friday, we just don't know when they will let us do that. The inspector still has to go to the house. I am not sure on that day yet, but I am assuming everything will go smoothly with that. At least it better :)
This weekend is going to be busy! Tomorrow (Saturday) I will be dress shopping with Jen for the wedding! My sister will be here in Madison this weekend to help out too. I hope to get the majority of everything packed up! Whether that will happen or not I have no clue, but I can hope!

Have a great Weekend!

David's Endoscopy

David is doing good after his endoscopy. The doctors said it took quite a bit of medicine to get him under. When he was in recovery he was completely out of it! I have never seen him like this, it was pretty comical!
They said he has mild erosive esaphagitis. They did a biopsy on his esophagus and we will know more at the end of the week. For now they gave him a perscription for prilosec to see if that helps with his throat closing up when he eats everything.
He is feeling alright now, him and Gavin are laying in bed together. He has thrown up quite a bit, and can't seem to keep any food down but they say that is normal.
I will update when we know the results of the Bioipsy.

Endoscopy

We had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend! Friday-Saturday we went to Neenah to spend it with my mom! Saturday we ran errands and shopped and then headed back to Madison.
Sunday we headed over to Mom and Dad VV's for Mother's Day. Kristin, Chris, Lily and Nolan were also there and Dad VV prepared a wonderful lunch! The kids played so nicely and we just hung out on the deck for the day! It was very relaxing :)

David is having an Upper Endoscopy done today at the UW. Please pray that they don't find anything out of the ordinary and that this all goes very smoothly!

I will update later on how he is feeling.

Lemonade anyone?

We had a very successful rummage sale this past weekend! We (David, Gavin and I) made a total of $416 and $96 in hotdogs and lemonade!

Gavin and Reilly had a great time with their Lemonade Stand! The first day they sat behind the lemonade stand for quite some time, they would come and go of course, but they were really into it! They next couple of days it was like chop liver to them! Either way, it was a great idea, David did a wonderful job making it and we got numerous compliments on it! He said he should start taking orders. It was a smart idea to paint the whole thing in chalkboard paint. Although I thought it looked pretty gothic with no chalk on it. But...the boys made it very cute with their 'masterpiece' as they called it!

We have been pretty busy with packing! We are moving along pretty smoothly and we seem to accomplish something everyday, which is great because we don't want to get stressed with packing everything in the last week, although we know it will be stressful anyways we are trying to relieve some of it :)

So...I don't want to jinx myself, but Gavin has seriously been an ANGEL since Monday morning. We have not had to warn him for timeouts once, he has not had one fit, and has been the sweetest little boy 24/7! He wakes up so happy, goes down for 'rest time' without a fuss, and has been telling us that it is time for him to go to bed, and in between all of that, says the sweetest little remarks out of nowhere like; ' mommy, you're my best friend' and 'so what would you like to do today?', 'I love you so much'! He has even been very good about saying his 'may I please' and ' thank you very much'! Were has my little stinker gone? don't get me wrong though... I'M LOVING IT! But seriously, I hope I didn't just jinx myself!
