Headed to Neenah!

We are headed to Neenah for the weekend. We are looking forward to this little trip! We have not been there for awhile, since Christmas! Gavin has been looking forward to it too. He keeps saying, "My presents are there, mommy, my present!". It seems like everytime we go there Nana and Grandpa have presents for Gavin. Not a good habbit to get into!

This morning I met Shawna at the Coffee Shop for a bit so the boy could play. I have my new favorite drink...Chider....Apple Cider with two shots of Chi! Mmm.. Shawna got me hooked!

Some other exciting news...We have our Vacation all set for March/April...Snowboarding in Utah! We leave March 31st and return on April 5th! Gavin will be having some bonding time with Auntie Ashley and Uncle Matt, along with Nana and Grandpa while we are gone. It is also a little 1 year vacation for David and I, along with great friends of course!! We would also like to do another little road trip this summer with Gavin, that has not yet been planned nor decided on yet. We would love to visit every State, so we will try and go somewhere we have not been before! Does driving through a state count? eh...we'll see!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Big Breakfast!

Gavin had a HUGE breakfast this morning; 2 waffles and 2 sausages! Anyone who knows Gavin, knows that this is GREAT! Gavin is not a picky eater, he is just not an eater in general. He goes through these phases where he will not eat, anything! This weekend was one of them. He didn't eat a good 'meal' since Thursday! So I was thrilled this morning when he actually ate something! Maybe it was because he went to bed at 5:00pm last night and slept until 6:00am this morning! He didn't take a nap yesturday during the day, so when he fell asleep at 5pm he stayed sleeping! This weekend we had David's Alumni Basketball Tourament! His Class did wonderful, made it to the championship game. They technically won the whole tournament. I say technically because they had a 'rule' that you had to give the older class in the championship game points for the number of years that differ between the two classes that were playing. In this case there were 14 years difference. So the older team automatically got 14 points added to their score. What a stupid rule! So...technically David's class should have won by 5 points! All in All, they played great, and David was very sore this morning :) He forgot what is felt like to use those muscles!
I woke up this morning with a sore throat..achy body...and my head felt like a ton of bricks! Sounds like a nice cold! Good thing I go to the Doctor this Thursday for a check up :)

Tonight is the Bachelor night. I am looking forward to a very relaxing evening, and getting better!

Happy Inauguration Day!

What a wonderful day in History! I wish I was able to be in Washington D.C. to witness all of this first hand, but I have been watching the T.V. since 6:00am this morning and can't seem to pull away from it! Very Exciting!

Tonight Shawna and I are going snowboarding, just the two of us! It should be fun, the Dad's are going to stay home and babysit :) At Tyrol Basil on Tuesdays they have $12 lift tickets! You can't pass up that deal!

Our Weekend Update

We had a very nice weekend. Saturday we went to the Remodeling Expo and then out to lunch/dinner with Mom and Dad VV. We then went shopping for a new Snowboard for David. I got a new one last year, and David really needs a new one! Last time we went snowboarding his bindings came undone, not good! So we found him a very nice snowboard, boots and bindings that will last him awhile, at least they better! We then hung out at Mom and Dad VV's for the rest of the evening and watched football and played Wii Fit. We really enjoyed Wii Fit, except for the fact that they told David and I that we were the ages of 35(David) and 39(Me)!! We must not have had good balance :)

Tomorrow Aunt Ashley is coming to visit! Gavin is pretty excited about that. We will be going to Kohl's sometime. I got an extra 30% off so we will be taking advantage of that :) We are in the process of getting Gavin's crib turned into a full sized bed. Im going to have him pick out some sheets tomorrow. We have not one set in the house that fits a size Full Bed, so we need a few! Im hoping by next week we can have it all done, cross your fingers! He is getting way to big for a crib, and his nights are becoming restless! (Don't worry, he is just making sure all of the laundry is out! He LOVES doing laundry, he must take after his daddy!)

Our Past Week

Our ceiling is now completed!! They were here today painting and I'm so glad it is all done, but boy, if I knew the mess it was going to make I would have not had them do this, or else I wish we would have waited until spring! Wednesday and Thursday night we stayed at Mom and Dad VV's house and then Friday night we spent the night in the Dells. TJ and Shawna invited us to go snowboarding on Saturday at Christmas Mt. They have a timeshare there so it was nice to stay right at the Mt. and just wake up and go! We had such a good time! Gavin stayed with Grammy and Papa on Friday night and we picked him up on Saturday when we got back. We had this snowboarding trip planned out way before we knew they were going to re-do our ceiling but the timing worked out very nicely!

Saturday night when we got into the condo David and I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned! It is literally never ending with drywall dust!! It gets worse, just when we thought we had a hold on all this dust they come in to paint today and they lay down all of the dirty drywall tarps that they used last week, so all the dust is in the air again and David and I spent a good part of our evening cleaning it all up again! I'm sure I will be cleaning drywall dust everyday for the next month!

This evening David and I made one of our favorite dishes...Rigatoni D, from Maggianos. I have been looking for this recipe for the longest time and finally found it! It turned out pretty good, tasted alot like it, but nothing it as good as the real thing!

Im hoping this week goes by very fast. It is going to be so cold out. So I got all of our errands done today so we do not have to go out at all during the day! Poor David is going to be working outside, I keep telling him that it is not safe, but he keeps assuring me that he will stay warm...which I have no idea how with -40 wind chills. Oh well. Im sure he is used to it! Stay warm and have a good week!

I dislike drywall!

So we had someone come in today to look at our ceiling and try to fix it .(they are re-doing all the roof's in this area and we have had some cracks and sagging in our ceiling for awhile so we decided while they were doing that to just come and look at our place) Well turns out that they need to tear down the entire living room ceiling and redo everything...ugh...what a pain in my rear! So..we are now trying to pack everything up and get it all out of here! We will be homeless for about a week, hopefully less! Thank goodness Mom and Dad VV are close enough that we can stay there!
More Later!

First '09 blog!

I still can't believe is it 2009! It is going to take me a long time to get the hang of writing it on checks and other stuff. I still find myself writing '07! We had a very nice New Years. It was very chilly outside, but we still had a ton of fun! Here are a few pictures from out New Years Eve. So this past weekend we did a whole lot of NOTHING! Mainly consisted of taking down Christmas decor, and cleaning. Friday we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner and to watch some of the Wisconsin Hockey Game. On Saturday Mom and Dad VV stopped by for a little while. They wanted to see Gavin's train set that they got him for Christmas all set up in his bedroom. Gavin was all about showing them all of his new stuff!
Well...it is very late and we have to get Gavin over to Shawna's at 7:30 in the morning tomorrow because David and I have an errand to run, bright and early, and then we have people coming over at 10:00am to do drywall...ugh, tomorrow is not going to be a fun day!
