Best Friends

Is it weird to say that my 2 1/2 year old honestly has a best friend? besides his daddy :)
Last night we had TJ, Shawna and the kids over for dinner. It was the first time Reilly and Gavin had seen eachother in two weeks! They sure missed eachother and played until 8:30pm. We have all been so busy with commitments this summer that it's been hard to get together with eachother! Hopefully this will change now that most of our prior engagements are starting to come to an end! Here are a few videos of Gavin and Reilly playing on the tractor!

Our Weekend

I am so sad that this weekend is over! It was such a nice and relaxing/enjoyable weekend! Friday David, Gavin and I went out on the boat for a little while to get it started and to make sure everything was good with it! The thing started up right away! Pretty good for not being out on the water for two years! The sad thing was that Gavin didn't enjoy it like he used to. He was pretty scared and kept thinking that the boat was going to tip over. He held on so tight the whole ride and kept asking to go home! He did enjoy throwing crackers to the ducks though! After that we went to dinner @ Olive Garden, we have had a Gift Certificate that we have been wanting to use for awhile now, and it seemed like a perfect night to use it! Gavin was so well behaved at dinner, it was probably the best he has been since he was a baby and would sleep the whole time! His reward was a nice chocolate sundae! After dinner the three of us headed over to St. Mary's Hospital to visit Barry, Heather, and Rylyn, their new baby girl! She was so cute and tiny! I love being able to get a baby fix every now and then!

Saturday afternoon rolled around and Jen and Brandon came to visit! We took them out on the boat that afternoon and had a blast! Grammy and Papa were so generous and watched Gavin. We were originally going to take him out with us, but due to his dislike on Friday we decided he wouldn't like it very much!

Sunday was a very nice and relaxing day as well! David had a one track mind of getting things done around the house! Man, when he sets his mind to something he really doesn't give up! He put up shelves in the garage, and our bathroom. He put the new screen door in, AND...while I was at the grocery store with Gavin, he decided to organize and clean the basement, AND...he even got the spare bedroom organized!!!! I LOVE MY HUSBAND! He was one determinded guy yesturday!

Later that evening we went down the street, layed out blankets and chairs and watched Rhythm and Booms! It was a perfect ending to a perfect weekend! Gavin really enjoyed the fireworks, as well as David and I!

MJ jokes

Yes, I think it is a shocker that Michael Jackson died. But...I thought I would share some really funny jokes (in my opinion) that I heard!
#1. The autopsy confirmed it! Michael Jackson died of food poisoning. Guess he ate a 12 year old wiener.
#2. Due to the fact that Michael Jackson is 99% plastic he will be melted into logos for kids to play with.
Hahahahahahaha. I thought I would lighten the mood :)
I do however think it is more sad that Farrah Fawcett's death seems like chop liver compared to Michael Jackson's. On GMA this morning it was 95% Michael Jackson and 5% Farrah

TOO HOT!

We have a HEAT ADVISORY in our area for today! That means we are staying inside for most of the day and getting things done! Poor David is working outside today :( It is so hot outside that Elert (the people building homes in our neighborhood) left at 11:00am this morning! My husband is a trooper! I better have a nice cold beverage waiting for him for when he gets home :)David had a nice Father's Day. We spent that morning driving back from Neenah. We were in Neenah for my cousin's Grad party. It was so nice to see so many faces that we don't get to see very often, family and friends!
Father's Day afternoon we headed over to Mom and Dad VV's and spent time with them. Then David, Dad and Chris went golfing @ Bergamonth later that afternoon!

Gavin is down for his afternoon nap right now and I am going to go make him some popsicles for later!

Painted Kitchen

We have another busy week and weekend ahead of us!
Yesterday we painted the kitchen! We found this paint in the 'OPPS' section at Home Depot for $5. It is a paint and primer in one. It turned out that it matched perfectly with the counter tops and I actually really like it. I like color alot, but I am very scared of it! Hopefully we can get most of the house painted by Fall.Today Brit is coming to hang out for the day with us! We haven't seen her in awhile and she hasn't seen the house yet either, so it will be a nice visit!

Tomorrow my dad is coming and spending the night! He will then be taking Gavin to Neenah for the weekend.
Friday we have a wedding in the Chicago area.

Saturday we will be heading to Neenah for Brit's Graduation Party.

And Sunday... FATHER'S DAY!

Today is Lily's 4th Birthday, Happy Birthday~

This Past weekend was Lily's 4th Birthday Party and I got some cute pictures of the kids;

Gavin was 2 1/2 yesterday! David also decided to come home with a present for Gavin...a fish...
Gavin loves it. Although I don't think any of us know the exact name of the fish yet. Gavin has been calling it two different names; Fursdays, and Goldie (which is Franklin's fish's name. Franklin is Gavin's favorite show)

I have no idea what kind of fish it is either. All I know is that it is not a gold fish, nor a betta fish. Maybe a Danios or a Tetras?

Rainy Day

Rain Rain Go Away!!

We had a very nice weekend. Friday we got invited over to our new neighbors house for a bonfire. It was very nice to chit chat with them and get to know everyone a little bit more. Saturday Mom and Dad VV came over with two truck loads of mulch for the 'jungle' (our 'woods' in the back yard that Gavin calls 'the jungle'.) Saturday night we layed around and watched wipeout! Ah... if you have not seen this show you need to, so funny!
Sunday we had Mom and Dad VV, Chris, Kristin and the kids over for dinner! The weather was nice and we sat outside while the kids played very nicely! Here are a few pictures of the kids at dinner and Gavin and Nolan

Tonight we are having Jessie, Krista, and Sarah over for dinner. I haven't see Krista or Sarah in about a year, so it will be very nice to see them and catch up! And...this will probably be the last time we see Jess before she leaves for Dublin! We are going to miss her very much!

I also have all of Gavin's 2 1/2 pictures ready to post so I will probably get to that tomorrow :) Have a wonderful rainy day!
