Update

We’re still here. Still at home. Still at 5 ½ cm & 60%+ effaced.
Before I spew a few of my thoughts just let me tell you that I want Baby V to stay in as long as he needs to. As much as I want to meet him, see him & feel normal again, obviously this past week was not the right time for him to come. Gavin and I came down with a nasty cough & Dave got a fever, which never happens! So, we are happy that he stayed content in my stomach.
BUT…To say that I am frustrated is an understatement; I’m paranoid every time I walk out the door. Every little feeling I start to get I think to myself; is this it?! We go everywhere with all of our hospital bags, just in case. Knowing that I am walking around at 5+cm scares me. It scares me that my water may break in public. It scares me that once we are in ‘ACTIVE’ labor that we will go FAST! It scares me that my husband may have to put the gloves on and deliver his own child, God forbid!
So I just wanted to update everyone; we are still home and TRYING to hang in there! We’re 38 Weeks tomorrow. Will he make his arrival this week?!
*A big Thank You to my Dad who stayed with us last week. I'm going to be honest, it wasn't a good week. I felt awful & discouraged, never knowing what was going to happen. Dave had to go into work and since my dad is off on medical leave he stayed with us! He was a blessing to have around, truly!
*Thank you to our neighbors Chris & Cindi who have been 'on call' in the middle of the night to come over and be with Gavin!
*Thank you to the Millar's & Britto's for making other arrangements for my daycare kids! Missing you guys a lot!
----------
Even tough I didn't feel up to it, Gavin was still able to get out and do fun things with his friends last week. Nicole came and picked Gavin up to take him to our regular play dates. This past week on Friday it was at Bouncy Town & then they went to McDonalds for lunch afterwards! Thanks, Nicole!!!
