37 Weeks

Update;
please forgive me for this picture, this was at 8pm last night. I had just got out of the bath/shower and I was really not in the mood to do this, but we have done it every week, so I had to :)How Far Along: 37 weeks! FULL TERM!
Size of baby: Baby Vander Velde weighs almost 6 1/3 lbs and is over 19 inches long!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained around 32 lbs. lost a few lbs.
Maternity Clothes: Most of my wardrobe!
Gender: It’s a BOY; name will be chosen when we see him!
Movement: There isn’t much room for him to move around anymore but he finds a way!
Sleep: Inconsistent.
What I miss: Energy! My non maternity clothes!
Cravings: nothing really!
Symptoms: Heartburn, major pressure, swollen, major back pain, & contractions.
Progress: Monday morning, midnight, I woke up with major back contractions! We went into the hospital and the contractions were measuring 1-2 minutes apart and I was still around 2cm. They checked me 2 hrs later and I was 4cm, so we were progressing, then the contractions slowed down to 2-5 minutes and I wasn’t progressing as much! They sent us home and I went to my normal scheduled doctor appointment at 2:30. We were 4.5cm and they told us to come back at 6pm to get checked again & we were 5cm & 60%. She stripped my membrane & told us to go home! Good thing we live really close to my doctor’s office! I am frustrated, very uncomfortable and just ready to be done! But the little guy inside of me is very comfortable so we will wait it out until he is ready to come! I go in today to get checked again, so we will see if more progress is made! She told us she wouldn’t let me walk around being 6cm! hmm…
Best Moment of the Week: It’s been nice being able to hear the heartbeat a lot this week! Progress, even if it’s not major, it’s still progress and we’ll take it!
*Thank you so much to our neighbor, Cindi, who came over to stay with Gavin at 1:30am on Monday Morning! Thank you to my FIL who relieved Cindi at 5am! Thank you for my parents who then came down to stay with Gavin! My mom went home yesterday, but my dad is staying here with me. Dave is working and if something happens during the day I wouldn't know what to do! It's a relief to have him here with me. Once we go into major labor I am guessing it's going to go fast since we are already at 5cm, but who knows when that will be :)
