High Heels and WYRW!

Every little boy wears him Mommy's high heels at least once in his life. right?!?

I was getting ready the other morning and I had a pair of my shoes in our bedroom closet. Gavin put them on and proceeded to the kitchen. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take pictures!!! I haven't even showed these pictures to David yet, haha! Enjoy.----------

With the holiday weekend and all I totally forgot to do a Would You Rather Wednesday! It's still Wednesday though! Just 9:15 pm! This weeks would you rather question is about food! Have you ever seen the show 'Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern'? Oh my goodness. I love that show, but i would not try half of the stuff he tries! Eww, Gross! This weeks would you rather questions come from one of his episodes in the outback!

Would you rather eat; Roasted Wallaby Tail OR Raw Crocodile Eggs?

Between those two I would do the roasted wallaby tail. It's roasted, and cooked, Ill give it a try! I am not good with raw foods! I like sushi, only california rolls, but thats it! :) Food is ment to be COOKED!

Our Labor Day Weekend!

Goodness I have not updated in awhile! Our Labor Day weekend was full of family time, which means little time for the computer :) which means, happy husband!!
We had a great and relaxing weekend here at home! Friday during the day Gavin and I relaxed! We went for a nice walk to see David at work and then came home and baked cookies for the afternoon!Friday night we went over to Mom and Dad VV's for D&R (dinner and relaxation, of course)!

This weekend was the Taste of Madison, so we hit that up on Saturday afternoon. It was extremely busy downtown! The badger game and the taste was going on so we were amoungst a ton of people. Needless to say we didn't stay long downtown! We headed home and watched the Badger Game in our Pj's! Sunday afternoon we went out and purchased an Autumn Blaze Maple Tree and planted it in our front yard! I can't wait for it to grow into a mature tree! I'm going to be waiting a long time :) That afternoon we ran to Sam's Club and Cosco! Then just came home to relax and watch movies! Oh yeah...we also made a 9:00pm run to DQ!!

Today for Labor Day we went over to Mom and Dad VV's house for a cook out! Gavin enjoyed doing tractor races with Papa and playing baseball all afternoon! We also tried to get a family photo today. In the first photo Gavin was being a grump;
so we had to try again, of course! Go Brewers!!

DipTacular

So today @ BooMama it's DipTacular!!Since it is Football Season and all why not share a few of your favorite dips with everyone! Who doesn't love dips? More importantly, who doesn't love dips made with cream cheese!!!!! Mmmm
Here are a two of my all time favorite dips. Easy and simple!
------
Hormel Chili Cheese Dip
1 (16 oz.) can hormel chili without beans
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 (16 oz.) package shredded mild cheddar cheese or sharp cheddar cheese
nacho chips or Frito Scoops, to serve

My favorite way to eat this dip is to throw all ingredients into a crock pot. Stirring frequently until it is all melted togeter! Yum.
------
Caramel Apple Dip
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Beat cream cheese in small bowl until creamy. Add brown sugar and vanilla; beat until well blended. Serve with apple wedges!
------
Sorry, just one more dip!! I have not tried this dip, but it sure sounds yummy!!!

Pumpkin Dessert Dip
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cream Cheese, softened
1 (7 oz.) jar Marshmallow Creme
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

Mix all ingredients until well blended. Cover and refrigerate several hours or until chilled.
Serve with fruit or cookie!

200th post +10,000+ hits

This is my 200th post! PLUS, yesterday we hit over 10,000 hits! Woohoo!

I first started blogging soon after David and I got married. My first blog post was on May 31st, 2008. I never even looked at a blog until my sister-in-law started their family blog! Nor did I know what a blog entailed. Funny how I find myself a year and a half later addicted to blogging and reading blogs! The only thing I would change is that I wish I started sooner!

I wanted to start our family blog;
1. Because I am not good at doing baby books, and stuff like that. I wanted to capture all the things that Gavin and our family does and this seemed like the perfect thing to do! It is a great feeling knowing that I can look at what we were doing this same week or even day of last year!
2. It is a great way for all of our family and friends to see what we are up to on a day to day, or week to week basis!

I never thought that I would become this 'into' blogging. It is very relaxing and something I really enjoy doing. I also love reading other blogs, did I mention I am addicted to it?

Thank you to everyone who reads our blog! I get great comments and feedback from others and makes my time blogging that more fun!

Would You Rather Wednesday!!

Would you Rather Wednesday! Yah, I love this game! Today's questions;

Would you rather be nervous but excited or relaxed but bored?

You are more then welcome to comment on the blog and let me know what you would rather do, or else just have fun with the question!

I would much rather be nervous but excited!

How I love being relaxed, I can't stand being bored! I always have to be doing something! I do not always like being nervous either, but if it entails being excited I am all for it! I love surprises and excitement!
------------
Last night we, once again, roasted marshmallow in the chiminea! I Love that thing! Our next purchase will be pudgy pie makers!! Yumm, the possibilities are endless with those things!!
