Change of Plans

Since my last update on Sunday there have been quite a few changes! Monday morning at 9:45am I got a call from Dave telling me that my dad was going into Emergency Surgery! I immediately dropped everything I was doing, packed up Gavin & myself and went to be with my family! So much for thinking he was coming home on Monday! I don’t want to go into detail on here, because that is not what he would want, but I will say that he is doing okay and getting better with every day that passes! Gavin and I got home last night. It’s nice to be home but I wish I was still there! I hate leaving knowing that my dad is in the hospital! Wishing I could be there with him to keep him company. Talk to him, make him smile! Gavin was so good while we were there! We spent the majority of our time at the hospital and never once did I have to leave because Gavin was getting restless! He was a great help & I know my dad enjoyed him there! It lifted his spirits and put a smile on his face! here are a few pictures of what we did while at the hospital;

It other News, David & his dad are all signed up for The Chicago Marathon on 10-10-10!!David turns 25 this year and Dad VV turns 50! So they are doing it together! It is very exciting, but I am nervous for my husband! He is not a regular runner, but he is very active! He also got diagnosed last year with adult asthma due to an allergic reaction to cedar wood! It worries me a little bit, but I know they will both do a great job! Extensive training is coming up!
