Stubborness

Last night for dinner I had made a quick hamburger and noodle skillet, just like hamburger helper;
Hamburger & Noodle Skillet Dinner (tastefully simple recipe) - Very Good!
Ingredients
1 lb. ground beef
1 Tbsp. Garlic Garlic™
1 Tbsp. Onion Onion™
1 tsp. Seasoned Salt
1 tsp. black pepper
10.75 oz. can cream of chicken soup or cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup sour cream
3/4 cup milk
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
4 cups cooked wide egg noodles

Well...Gavin, being the stubborn kid he is, would not take one single bite. He said he didn't like it. But how can you say you don't like it without even trying it? Boggles my mind! I understand that he is 2 1/2 and he may not like every single thing we make. But he is old enough to eat people food and old enough where I am not going to sit in the kitchen and make a special meal just for him every single night. I agree there are some nights where I know for a fact he will not eat what I am making, so then I will make him his own dinner. But come on...It's like hamburger helper! So was it really bad of David and I for making Gavin sit at the table until he had at least one bite of his dinner? We told him that if he had one bite and he still didn't like it then he didn't have to eat it, but at least he had tried it! Well...Gavin did not budge! He wouldn't try it for the life of him! What a stubborn little fella! Wonder where he gets that from?!!
He did not end up eating dinner last night and he did not get dessert either. Instead he had a peanut butter sandwich before bed last night!

Yesterday I had made Beer Bread for our new neighbors that moved into the neighborhood. I had called David that afternoon to ask him if he wanted me to just go drop it off or if he wanted to come too. He told me to wait and that we would go after dinner to drop it off. Well..after our long dinner fiasco with Gavin, we saw that the neighbors were not home any longer. So I got hungry last night and decided to unwrap the nicely wrapped beer bread and cut into it...OPPS!! Looks like I will be making another beer bread this afternoon!
