14 Weeks

We are finally in our Second Trimester! YAH!How Far Along: 14 Weeks
Size of baby: Baby Vander Velde is the size of a Lemon.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 5 lbs.
Maternity Clothes: Belly Band with my own pants or maternity pants. No pregnancy tops yet but lots of tunics.
Gender: We can’t wait to find out! I scheduled our 20 week ultrasound appointment yesterday and I was able to schedule the appointment on my BIRTHDAY! November 17th, it is going to be the best birthday present ever!
Movement: No real baby movement yet.
Sleep: Very tired and I am usually in bed by 8:30pm!
What I miss: motivation.
Cravings: Root Beer like crazy, good thing it is Caffeine Free! Specifically Rueben sandwiches, Cottage Cheese and fruit!
Symptoms: Very tired and lately in the mornings I have been feeling a little blah. These allergies don’t seem to be going away either, we are going through Kleenex like crazy!
Best Moment of the Week: There were a few great moments this week. 1) I love the little texts we get from Dad VV asking how his baby girl is doing :) It makes me smile. We would LOVE a little girl but are happy either way, of course! The other great moment this week happened while Gavin and I were sharing a snack on the front porch. We were talking about the baby and he said he WANTED A LITTLE SISTER! I couldn't believe what my ears were hearing! So far throughout this pregnancy he has not wanted anything to do with a baby girl/sister! And...today it is back to a baby brother!
AND...HEARING THE HEARTBEAT!
