new shoes and underwear!

We had a great day yesturday despite the rain! Around 11:30am I was working and got a nice suprise. David came home! It was raining all day and he ran out of things to do inside, and he couldn't work outside, so he came home. It was so nice, we went out to lunch and ran a few errands. David is going to be starting a HUGE project soon (4 million dollar home on Lake Monona) so he will be SUPER busy.

So yesturday while we were running errands, we went to go and look for new shoes for Gavin. Some that would be warmer than Crocs. We found him some really cute Pumas. Just like Daddy's. They fit him so good. His shoe size is size 6 but we got him a size 7 because we think with thicker socks this winter they will fit perfectly. He LOVES them. Has been wearing then all morning and he would have worn them to bed last night too if we didn't insist on taking them off! He takes after his Daddy in loving shoes!

Last night we put trianing pants on Gavin. Just to see what he would do and how well he would do. Well...he lasted for about an hour and a half. In that time we kept reminding him to tell mommy and daddy if you have to go potty. While I was cleaning up dinner he came in and he was in tears. I didn't know what happend until he pointed to his pants. Poor thing, he seemed so disappointed in himself. We assured him that accidents happen and we will just have to keep working on it and try again another time. He sure does like his training pants though. They have trucks on them! It is so hard to find boys underwear that do NOT have characters on them (Like elmo or spiderman). I am not a character person, but we will see what we find. I did find some really cute ones at Gymboree that I will probably end up getting. We'll see. If anyone has any suggestions on where I can find some NON-character underwear for little boys, let me know!

Im pretty excited because I think we are going to go and pick up our new washer and dryer tonight! It has been sitting at the store for over 2 months and I am SO happy to finally be able to use it. Hopefully if buyers see that a washer and dryer actually fit they will be more interested in it too.

I have a work meeting tonight that I am looking forward to. I am making puff carmel corn to bring with, yummy! Another co-worker is bringing cinnamin cheesecake bars, yum! I love work events, even if it is just an hour meeting. It is a chance to get out and chit-chat! Plus I really like the people I work with. Wish we could socialize more often in person and not just on IM.
