My sister, Ashley, comes this weekend, FOR THE ENTIRE WEEKEND! I am really looking forward to this. We are going to be spend Saturday shopping! Toyland opens up Saturday Morning at 7am! Hopefully I can get some Christmas Shopping done!! Next Weekend Ashley & Matt have their engagement pictures so we are going to go shopping for outfits for that too!

Here are the questions Liz asked us to answer;
What is your dream vacation?
My Dream Vacation is to the Greek Isles!
What are some of your hobbies?
I honestly don’t think I have a true hobby. I am a full time mom & don’t have time for a hobby. I would love a craft & sewing room someday and make that my true hobby. I do love to go shopping though!!
Favorite book?
The Bible, I could read it all day long. I never used to be like that until more recently. I find the bible the most fascinating thing ever! I love it.
Favorite color?
My favorite color changes a lot, but I do love all shades of the color green!
Favorite treat that you love?
I am a sweet tooth girl all around! I love all sweets, especially sour gummy candy!
Do you have any animals?
No animals…yet!
Favorite TV show?
I have been way behind on all of my favorite TV shows lately, but I love Castle, Parenthood, & any and all reality television!
Do you like coffee?
I do like coffee. I prefer to drink decaf just because caffeine & I do not mix well together!

15 Weeks

Update;
How Far Along: 15 weeks!
Size of baby: Baby Vander Velde is the size of an Apple & is 4 inches long from crown to rump! Weighing in at 2 1/2 ounces!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 5 lbs. We honestly do not own a scale so I am just sticking with 5 lbs! I go to the doctor on November 1st for a 17 week appointment and we will find out then just how much I have gained since the last appointment!
Maternity Clothes: I purchased my second Belly Band this weekend! I have been wearing them all the time so I thought I better get more than one! I continue to wear it with my own pants or maternity pants. No pregnancy tops yet but lots of tunics.
Gender: We can’t wait to find out! 5 weeks.
Movement: When I am laying down with my hands on my stomach I can definitely feel fluttering and movement but no real active, major movement yet, no hard ‘kicks’ or anything.
Sleep: I’m am still tired but I have been sleeping a lot better at night and going to bed around 9pm!
What I miss: Sushi. I could always have a California roll though, right?! :)
Cravings: Sushi. Root Beer & just carbonated drinks in general! We also got our Halloween candy this weekend and it is very yummy.
Symptoms: Tired. I am hungry a lot, and am more ornery than usual, or at least I like to think so!
Best Moment of the Week: It doesn’t have a lot to do with the baby but by far the best moment of the week was seeing my husband and Father-In-Law finish the Chicago Marathon! I probably tell Dave I am proud of him 10 times a day!

2010 Chicago Marathon

They Did It!! Dave and Dad VV completed the Chicago Marathon! They both did a wonderful job and I am incredibly proud of both of them! The Chicago Marathon, or running a marathon in general, is obviously not an easy thing to do & giving the temperature in Chicago yesterday, 85+ degrees, I can't even imagine how they felt! But..they did it and they did it extremely well.
Here are some pictures of the eventful day;
