24 Weeks

Update;
How Far Along: 24 weeks!
Size of baby: Baby Vander Velde is the size of an ear of corn! Weighing in at just over a pound and is a 12 inches long!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 15lbs!
Maternity Clothes: A little bit of everything! Mainly maternity bottoms.
Gender: It’s a BOY, no definite name yet! We keep adding to our list and can’t decide! Boy names are SO hard!
Movement: Very Active!
Sleep: Good!
What I miss: Nothing.
Cravings: No cravings. The Holidays are going to be tough though with all the sweets I’ve been eating!
Symptoms: My hormones are in full swing! I am very emotional & even though I get great sleep at night I could fall asleep at any moment of the day.
Best Moment of the Week: Gavin has been more and more interested in my belly lately! I find him randomly coming up to kiss & rub my belly. He also likes to talk to his baby brother!

Gavin's 4th Birthday!

Gavin had a wonderful birthday weekend! He turned 4 on Friday and that evening Dave and I took him to his first Wisconsin Badgers Hockey Game! He LOVED it! We had the best seats ever (right on the glass) and it was so much fun. A great way to spend his birthday! Here are pictures of our time at the Badger game;

On Saturday we had his birthday party! It was sports themed and we did concession type food! Hot Dogs, Chili Dogs, Nachos, & Popcorn! It was a lot of fun and he got some great birthday presents that he LOVES! He got books, Wii games, remote control cars, bop it, tons of legos, criss cross crash, an alarm clock, Jason Aldeans new CD, CD player, movies, ornaments, etc...I could go on and on! It's like Christmas around here and I have no idea where we are going to put everything! Here are some pictures of the day;

Nachos! Popcorn! DQ popcorn to be exact, only the best!He got a neat digital camera from my Aunt & Uncle in Arizona!He FINALLY got his Criss Cross Crash that he has been raving about for the past 3 months! He got a ton of remote control items! Lots of remote control cars & trucks and even a remote control helicopter! His Bucky Badger cake!

Some of Our Favorite Ornaments!

I love ornaments, especially ornaments that have been gifts to us and have sentimental value. Every year we gain in ornaments and I love it! My mom usually gives Gavin/us ornaments every year. And every year since I could even remember my Aunt has been making all the neices and nephews ornaments for Christmas each year! They are amazing and different every year and something I've always looked forward to getting! Here are some of our family’s favorite ornaments hanging on our tree this year;
Gavin's picks;This was when we were pregnant with Gavin. It's special this year too , even though the year is different!Love this ornament! They sell these in boy or girl from First/Middle/Youngest Child and they all say "(Mom's Favorite)" on the bottom! Can't wait to get one for this baby! This is one made by my Aunt! Gavin loves it!

It's all going by too fast!

We have a very busy week & weekend ahead of us! I can't believe that this little boy is turning 4 on Friday! We will be celebrating his birthday on Saturday with close friends and family! Here is the invitation we sent out;It's going to be a packed house on Saturday but we are looking forward to celebrating Gavin!

After this weekend we only have two weeks until Christmas and I am no where near being ready for it and we're not done shopping yet either! I think I am a little nervous for the holiday season to be over with because after that we need to get in full baby mode and get everything ready for our little bundle to arrive! We need to purchace the crib and the bedding, paint the room, refinish the dresser/hutch, wash all the clothes, etc...It's never ending and I just wish everything would slow down! This Pregnancy and this Holiday Season are flying by!

Anyways...here is a look at what our home looks like this holiday season;

Update;

How Far Along: 23 weeks!
Size of baby: Baby Vander Velde is the size of a large mango! Weighing in at just over a pound and is about 11 inches long!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 14lbs!
Maternity Clothes: Mostly all maternity clothes. I do have pants that I will still wear with a belly band and I have a lot of sweaters that are non maternity but other than that I am wearing mainly maternity clothes. My poor closet it a wreck.
Gender: It’s a BOY, no name yet!
Movement: He doesn’t STOP moving! I’m not complaining though, I love every minute of it!
Sleep: Good!
What I miss: Nothing at the moment!
Cravings: No specific cravings. And I NEED to stop eating junk food!
Symptoms: Very emotional lately (With Gavin I was emotional in the beginning of the pregnancy and now I am just starting with this little one!) Also, back pain and I had my first sign of Braxton Hicks contractions this past weekend.
Best Moment of the Week: Gavin and I were in Neenah for the weekend, I had a bridal shower and baby shower to attend. Dave stayed home to work and to get a few things done. On our way home on Sunday I called to let him know we were on our way. When we got home he literally made me drop everything, he had a nice warm bubble bath waiting for me with candles and cranberry ginger ale! It was just what I needed and it made me cry, of course, what doesn’t nowadays! I have the BEST husband.
