Our 4th of July Weekend!

Our 4th of July weekend was wonderful, eventful, and relaxing!

Friday afternoon we headed to Sun Prairie Aquatic Center! Mom VV, Kristin and the kids went too. Friday evening we had the neighbors over for a bonfire to play a few games of testicle toss/ladder toss, whichever you prefer :)

Saturday we went out of the Boat with Mom and Dad VV! Our neighbors also brought their boat out with their parents! It was a fun afternoon! We got way too much sun though! Saturday evening we watched Rhythm & Booms Firworks and then called it a night!

Sunday Morning we went to Deforest Parade with a bunch of friends! It was such a good parade! They gave out such fun stuff for kids! Besides candy they gave out pencils, erasers, key chains, cookies, passes to area events, etc... We will definately go back next year! This tractor spit candy out of it!After the parade we went over to a friends house for lunch! We then had church that evening. After church we went out for ice cream and then to the Deforest Fireworks! Gavin and Beckam loved it! They kept saying, 'Happy Birthday, America!' It was a great 4th of July! On Monday our neighbor, Chef Sean, smoked ribs for us for dinner! They were the best ribs I have ever had! So that evening we had a few people over for dinner! That was the gist of our 4th of July weekend in a nutshell :) Hope everyone had a great 4th!

This past Saturday I finally had a chance to go to the Madison Farmers Market! I got wonderful flowers, spicy cheese bread, and some really yummy sugar snap peas! When I got home from the Farmers Market this is what I saw;My two boys having a wonderful time on the slip-n-slide! It was hilarious to watch Dave on this tiny thing!

Saturday evening we had Mom and Dad VV, Chris, Kristin and the kids over for dinner! We did walking tacos for dinner! It was a lot of fun and something different for dinner :)

We are really looking forward to this coming 4th of July weekend! We really don't have that much going on! I have crossed off a few things on the calendar lately and it's a great feeling knowing we have nothing set in stone :)

Lots of updates!

I have no excuse as to why I haven't been blogging. I just haven't wanted to! I still read the blogs I always have, but I just haven't been in the mood to sit down and write about 'stuff '. There has been a lot going on though.

A couple of weeks ago we gave Gavin a haircut instead of taking him in to get it done. Dave just buzzed it & I love it;

We planted our Garden in the middle of May and it is doing WONDERFUL! Its like it's on steroids or something! This year we planted Tomatoes ( two different kinds), Cherrie Tomatoes, Radishes, Red Bell Peppers and Green Bell Peppers, Banana Peppers and Cucumbers! Everything we planted is doing amazingly well! A LOT better than last year, thats for sure!

We have had some crazy weather lately. It made for some good picture taking;Last weekend I went on a girls weekend with my mom, sister, aunts and cousins! We went up to the Eagle River Area for the weekend! We had a great time! Here are some pictures of that; ----------

Last night we took Gavin to Toy Story 3! It was his first time at the Movies too! He loved it and was such a good boy! Toy Story 3 is a must see movie for adults and kids! So cute. I didn't take any pictures but he was sporting this cute Toy Story shirt to the movies! Today we took the boat out for the first time this year! Gavin loved it! He definately got over his fear of going fast from last year! That is all he wanted to do! We stopped at a friends house and I got some cute pictures of him playing on their 'relaxation station'! Sorry for the super long post but I guess that's what happens when you don't update often :)

I hope all of the Dad's out there have a great Father's Day! Gavin sure has a fantastic Daddy!

Gavin the Lion!

On Memorial day we look a trip to the zoo with Mom and Dad VV! It was actually our first trip this year! Last year we went about once a week and now we can't seem to find time to go at all! It was a fun afternoon! Here are a few pictures; We would say 'Cheese' and the monkey would show his teeth and smile big! Gavin got to pick out a mask and he picked the lion one! The New Mr. & Mrs. Rogers!

This past weekend my best friend got married! Jen and Brandon finally tied the knot! The festivities started last Thursday with the rehersal and dinner! My wonderful husband! Everyone in the wedding party put together a scrapbook spread for Jen and Brandon and we gave the scrapbook to them at the rehersal dinner! It was such a neat idea and it turned out great! The whole wedding party! Jen and Brandon got married on a Friday and I can not tell you how much I LOVE Friday Weddings! The Bride and myself! Classic bathroom picture! I was lucky enough to walk down the asile with one of me best friends from High School!This was such a fun Bridal Party! With 3 sisters and 5 friends she couldn't have picked better girls!The New Mr. & Mrs. Rogers!I love this man so much!
