Happy Tuesday!

Sorry I have not felt up to blogging lately. I think I am finally getting the cold that David and Gavin have had for the past week!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines day! We had a wonderful day. We started our day out by going to Johnson Creek so David could get some Tools. They have a Factory Tool Store their and he had seen a few thing that he wanted awhile ago, so we went back and got the things he wanted! We then went out ot lunch at The Great Dane! Yummo...I had never been their before, but it was so good. We are trying not to duplicate the places we eat at. Madison has some wonderful places to eat and we want to try all of them, so we are trying to go to a different place everything we feel like dining out. We then went bowling with Gavin, Mom and Dad VV and Kristin, Lily and Nolan. This was Gavin's first time bowling. He seemed to enjoy it, but he was more interested in the game room than bowling...go figure! So after that we went back to Mom and Dad VV's for dinner and then home. It was a really nice "Valentime's Day", as Gavin calls it!

Sunday David and I went snowboarding with his cousin, PJ. Mom and Dad VV watched Gavin for the Morning. It was so nice to go right away in the morning. There was no one there. We were literally the only ones on quite a bit of the hills! It was also so sunny and I truely got warm, I LOVED IT! I can't wait for Utah. Hopefully we will be boarding in sweatshirts :)-----------
Potty Training Update -

Gavin is doing fabulous! Friday night we put him to bed in undies and not one accident! So we kept continuing it and he has yet to have an accident. I for sure thought that we would be waking up in the middle of the night having to change sheets, but...he prooved us wrong! I am so so so proud of him! Can I now say he is potty trained ? We still have not had to "name" the you know what. David and I have no idea what do refer to it as around Gavin, we can't say "peepee" because he will get confused with actual PEE. So do we call it, "penis" or is that to 'out there'. No idea, if you have any suggestions...let us know!
Gavin just went down for a nap! He finished his lunch...got his blankies...and crawled into a ball and he was out! How nice it that!

Just one quick Bachelor Note....I am so happy that Jillian got voted off last night! Gavin was watching it in bed with me last night before he went to bed and his comment for the night was....Peace Out Jillian :) We are now rooting for MEL!!

Have a great day!

Our Doctors Appointments

David and My Doctors Appointments;

I went to the doctor today because I have had this headache/throb/pain in the back right side of my head since Monday afternoon. I thought since I still had it today I should probably call my doctor and see what was up. Turns out...I had Levator Scapula. This muscle which is located in your neck was inflamed and very tight. Therefore I was not able to get the proper 'flowage' and it caused me to get his headache. I never had neck pain though. The doctor I saw today was not an M.D., he was a D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) I have never heard of this type of Doctor before...but I LOVE them! He was magical! He did a couple of techniques and therapies on me and I left feeling A LOT better!

David also went to the doctor today, which was well overdue! For awhile now he has been very congested and it got so bad that he was having trouble breathing. David is not the type to just go to the doctor. Until now…Turns out, he has a lung infection…most likely because he is allergic to cedar which he had been working with a lot lately. It was also because he waited so long to go and get this checked out. He also was diagnosed with Late-onset Asthma. So…now he is on quite a bit of medicine to get this taken care of. Hopefully we can get this all taken care of and get him back to normal soon. He also asked his doctor today about he throat. When David eats certain food his throat closes up. It has been happening more and more lately with almost every food he is eating…so…they are sending him to a throat specialist to get this checked out also. They also told him that he should have not waited so long to get this checked out as well.
So…all in all…If you feel something is wrong, don’t wait so long to get things checked out. Chances are it will turn into something worse. We have learned.

update

Potty Training is going really well! Gavin has now pooped in the potty, YAY!!! We have had a few accidents with that since the first time that happened, but I think he is doing a great job and David and I are very proud of him!Yesturday was BEAUTIFUL outside. We had the windows open, took a walk, and just enjoyed it, it felt so good! Too bad the 50 degree weather didn't last!

Gavin's bedroom is now finished and has his big boy bed in it! He LOVES it! There have even been a few nights where he WANTS to go to bed, very unlike Gavin! I am not a fan of his bedding. I have been looking for other stuff, but just have not found something I really like yet. I really don't want to have to paint his bedroom but I think that is probably going to have to happen! I don't see us moving anytime soon either :( We have not had anyone look at our place since Fall. Hopefully this will change when spring comes.
Gavin is going to be finishing up his Valentines today :) I love these little projects, hopefully they turn out good :)

Potty Training

We have been working extra hard at potty training this week. Gavin had a few accidents yesturday, but that's okay. I think he is doing pretty good. He has been going between 3-6 hours with no accidents, he took a nap at 11:30-2pm yesturday and not one accident during his nap. He has not worn a diaper since Sunday! AND...he is wanting to wear his big boy underwear, usually he would put up a fuss about putting them on! I am finally seeing some progress and it is a WONDERFUL feeling!

Gavin's bed comes in this week! I am very excited to have this all put together by the weekend, hopefully :)

We went to Mom and Dad VV's for the superbowl! It was very nice, lots of food and relaxing! David and I won $150 on a superbowl board! That was very exciting :)!!!!!

Thats all for now...
Have a good day!
