Sick

So yesturday was Gavin's 2nd Birthday (12-10-06)! I'd like to think that he had a good day, but it was just like any other day for him, or worse...

I got really sick Tuesday night around 7:00pm with diarrhea and vomiting. I had that ever 30 minutes until 8:30am Wed. morning. (Sorry TMI) I have never been this sick before! And I felt so bad that it was on Gavin's Birthday!! We had to cancel the few get togethers we had yesturday with friends and family :(.

Instead, Gavin and Daddy got to spend most of the morning in the Doctors office watching mommy get pumped with IV fluids! I was so dehydrated I couldn't even walk! The worst thing is...David and Gavin now have it :( Since Gavin has been born he has never had the flu! Which I am so greatful for, but the Diarrhea started at 6:30 this morning. No vomiting yet, and I hope it doesn't come either!!!

So we still lit Gavin's birthday Cake and let him make a wish and blow out his candles. We let him open his birthday present's from David and I as well. So we like to think that he had a good birthday, but who knows and now he probably feels so ailing! We will update tomorrow on how we are all doing, I hope this passes fast!

By the way...I have the most wonderful husband in the world. When I got sick on Tuesday night he made Gavin's Birthday Cake! It was perfect, he even decorated it so nicely, and he even stayed home from work yesturday to take care of me, and to watch Gavin, because he knew I couldn't! Anyways...He is the greatest! And now today he is at work, when he is sick :( I feel awful, and helpless:( I love you, David.

Our Busy Weekend Update

This past weekend was very busy! Friday-Saturday we were in Neenah celebrating Matt, Dad Hack and Gavin's birthday's! Ashley and my mom did a wonderful job getting everything together for the party on Saturday (Thank You)!! St. Nick came Saturday Morning, this was the first year that Gavin got St. Nick and he was one happy boy! He got socks, books, trucks, puzzles, and lots of chocolate! Gavin got a chance to play in the snow at Nana and Grandpa's house on Saturday morning! Gavin, David and Grandpa all had fun, but once again it was a struggle to get Gavin to come inside. It was very cold on Saturday morning and Gavin did not want to come inside. He sure does not have a problem with the cold, which is good considering we live in Wisconsin :) Saturday Afternoon we had the Birthday Party at Ashley and Matt's house! Gavin got a lot of nice gifts! Dinousaurs, dino. pj's, dino. bath towel. a 4-wheeler, lots of clothes, books, slippers, movies, and ornaments. Thank you to everyone that was there!Sunday we had the Vander Velde Christmas Party in Illinois! It was very nice and wonderful to see everyone again!

We have a busy week ahead of us, and to add more to it we are supposed to get 9 inches of snow between tonight and Tuesday night.

Wed. is Gavin's 2nd Birthday, so we are having Mom and Dad VV, Kristin, Chris and the kids over for some pizza and cake! Other then that Gavin's 2nd birthday is very low key!

Potty Time

Last night Gavin sat on the actual toilet to go potty. We haven't been having that much luck with potty training. He is showing lots of interests, he just doesn't go. Anyways...After he was done "going potty" he washed his hands very well (Sang the ABC's twice). This picture is just too funny for me not to post. David told me not to post it and that Gavin probably wouldn't like that, but he's two, and his little butt is too funny in this picture!
